A silversmith for the modern age

This week on The Next List we're featuring a fourth generation master silversmith and recent recipient of a MacArthur genius grant (half a million dollars!) - Ubaldo Vitali.

Ubaldo is on The Next List as an "agent of change" because, in a world where the speed is stuck on run – he's teaching us to stop, listen, and look at unparalleled pieces of art. As new technology permeates our daily lives, Ubaldo Vitali is working hard to push forward a centuries old practice while emphasizing interaction with "real objects."

Tune into CNN Sunday at 2 P.M. E.T. to see the full profile of Ubaldo Vitali.

He definitely is an upgdare if he's healthy. Memory serves me he was tough against the Yankees and Bosox when he was younger and on the O's. Garcia and Colon will help the Yankees get to October, but beating the Oakland and Baltimore's of the world is a lot different than facing the Boston or Texas lineup. Rob, what do you think about putting Hughes back in the bullpen? Nova is a better shot right now every fifth day

How did Andy know to ask this guy? How did he know he was in the aiudence? How did he know that he would be there that night? How did the person with the mic know to give it to him? How did he get there, did he buy the plane ticket or did someone else?Talk about rigging the election...Was this guy in the National Guard? I thought that wasn't *really* serving in the military...

I missed the airing of this episode and would very much like to view it. Do you offer a streaming version or another to view the program since it has already aired?

Ubaldo Vitali is a true genius in the field of silversmithing. Your program was absolutely stellar and left a profound impression on me. I teach silversmithing at Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and this is a must see program for every art student in America. Are videos of " A Silversmith for a Modern Age" available to purchase?
